Going East is written and maintained by Rebecca J. Hogue. As I revisit and reshape stories from our journey, I’ll be sharing them here. I may also include tales from our current adventures as we continue exploring our new home in Nova Scotia, Canada.
This blog originally began in 2008–2009 as a joint project between me (Rebecca, or Becky) and my husband, Scott. Back then, we realized that spending our days at a desk wasn’t making us any younger—or healthier. So, we packed up our lives (and our house) and set off on a 16-month journey by recumbent bicycle. Throughout our travels, we blogged almost daily, capturing our experiences along the way. You can start at the beginning of our journey or scribe to receive my new travel stories.
